To kick start my project, I decided to create an urban alphabet made out of images of road/traffic signs, names of shops and graffiti. Walking around town to capture these photos allowed me to see many things that I could incorporate into my project. For example, typography styles and graffiti. I included this in my project as these element are vital in the structure and maintenance of a place (everything would be a mess if cars didn’t know where to go). I intend to maybe use some of the typography styles that I found in my own work.
