Unlike the previous sessions, I really enjoyed creating this animation in After Effects. For homework, I produced a quick illustration of a pixel like robot on a skateboard with a tree in background. I created this on Illustrator, as this is the best programme when working with shapes and also allows you to keep the layers and open them in After Effects. The first thing we had to do was open the illustration on After Effects, making sure it was the correct settings, 1920 x 1080 pixel, RGB colour mode and 72 dpi screen resolution. Then, I started to make the robot move. I did this by clicking the next to position, to set the start point of the movement. I then moved the time indicator a few seconds into the timeline, and my object to a new position, I repeated that a few times, to get some movement. I did the same thing with the tree and individual aspects of the robot such as its arms and legs. To develop this piece, I would add music into the background to show my skills more.
