For the first After Effects workshop, I found it quite difficult to keep up as I never had used the programme before. To begin, I had to make sure that I entered the correct measurements of 1920 x 1080 pixel, RGB colour mode and 72 dpi screen resolution as this is the design standard. Next, I found a copyright free song from YouTube. I chose a very upbeat one so I could include lots of transitions. We then were introduced to the basics of After Effects. Once I had set up the page, I started to add time stamps so I knew where to add different key frames and added different colours. To do this, I very simply added a new layer and selected the background colour, I used very bright colours to fit with the exciting music, I also timed the change of colours to the beat drops in the songs. The last step I took was add text. This is very simple as all I had to do was use the type tool.
