To begin this workshop, we started off by watching three short films about different designers; Erik Spiekermann, Cyrus Highsmith and Kyle Cooper. This allowed me to gain an understanding about how important typography is to designers and the time and effort that is put into creating each typeface. After this, I chose three typographic references to transcribe shapes into letter forms to create the words ‘anesg’. I found this workshop highly useful as it shows that anything can become typography.

For the second section of the workshop, we were required to spell out the name of our favourite typographer. I chose Laurie Rosenwald as I find her urban typography really innovative and simplistic.
